Superior Auto Service, established in March 1981 in College Station, Texas, began with a focus on providing top-quality automobile service to the local community. Originally a Texaco service station, the business transitioned to car repair and officially became Superior Auto Service in 1982. The company quickly gained a reputation for excellent service and expanded and relocated to its current location in Bryan, Texas in January 1983.
Under the leadership of owner Dan Waskow, Superior Auto Service thrived, attracting skilled technicians and acquiring advanced diagnostic equipment to meet the growing demand. In 1988, Dan became the business's sole owner, emphasizing service excellence by continually staying updated on industry advancements through attending clinics and schools.
In 1997, Superior Auto Service further expanded its services by introducing computerized four-wheel alignment and tire service. The company renovated a former bread warehouse and equipped it with a state-of-the-art alignment system, establishing its new address at 3701 South College Avenue.
Throughout its history, Superior Auto Service has remained dedicated to its original goal of delivering the best automotive service value to the Bryan/College Station area.
In October 2021, Superior Auto Service underwent a change in ownership when Matt and Clay Barnes took over the business. This transition occurred following the retirement of the original owner, Dan Waskow. Matt and Clay have the same goal as Dan: to provide top-notch service in the automotive industry.
